Checklist is available for download!!!

Download the Steelhead Run Eco-Scavenger Hunt checklist today!  The list includes 69 items from throughout the entire watershed (over 100 square miles).  Each item has UTM coordinates and riddles.  You can use a map and compass or GPS unit to find items.  Once the riddle has been answered and the item is found, take a photograph or sketch it.  Compile your findings to submit at the end of the week for a chance to win a valuable prize from REI at the Wonderfest on May 18th from 10AM to 3PM at Santiago Park in Santa Ana.  Keep watching the blog for hints and updates.

The ultimate competition to determine who has the deepest connection to the Santiago Creek Watershed will begin on May 12 with the Steelhead Run Scavenger Hunt.  As part of the Santiago Creek Week celebration, the scavenger hunt will challenge your knowledge of natural and cultural history.  Stay tuned for a downloadable map and a checklist with orientation coordinates.
